2022

The Friendship Force of Limburg invited members of the F.F. of the Belgian Coast and of the F.F.  of Brussels for a special exchange:  April 19th - April 22nd.

The theme of the exchange was "Admire the fruit tree blossems in our province!" A lovely exchange. For the first time friends from different parts of our country saw and were astonished that there were so many fruit tree blossems. No wonder!  After all our province is  famous for its fruit: apples, pears, strawberries, plums etc ... The official welcome was in the town hall of the city of Bilzen. We also visited marl caves in Kanne and discovered the charm of Belgian winemaking at Château Genoels-Elderen.

The members of the F.F. of Limburg come together for a walk and meet for the  general meeting on August 06th.

About 30 members participated in this activity. It was a nice walk and we were guided by Gerard Vos the real and only "Cat Skinner"  (nickname) of the village of Millen. He showed us this picturesque Hesbaye village. It was really hot that day but our guide made us forget it as he offered us a cool "cava" and a nice glas of  gin. This pleasant day ended with the general meeting and a good dinner.

Everybody enjoyed the fascinating and varied programme. And last but not least many thanks to the host families and the exchange directors for these unforgettable moments.

Then to the Ardennes and a visit of the "Bastogne War Museum" . The castles of the province of Limburg.  Finally Tongeren, the oldest town of Belgium.  To end the exchange a traditional farewell party.
